PROFESSIONAL AND QUICK SUPPORT

I have experienced "English private teachers" service at Global Learn. I'm quite pleasant with their quick response and support. My teacher, Ms. Michelle, is passionate, devoted and lovely. I found satisfied and joyful in every single lesson. Now I'm much more confident in my English skills than before.

Do you wonder why, despite all the effort and hard work to listen to English, still like the duck listening to the thunder, without any progress? Before answering that question, let’s see if you have any habits in the top six habits of failure in listening to the majority of English people.

Trẻ học ngôn ngữ

  1. Try to translate into English when listening to English

This is a very common but very common mistake in listening to English. When listening to English, many people try to translate the message into Vietnamese with a reason to understand. However, the more you try to translate into Vietnamese, the more you can not understand what is being said.

  1. Try to understand all the words

Remember the last time you went to a noisy place, a party, around people singing, swaying to the music, you met a friend, two people started chatting, yelling each ear is surrounded by very noisy and many sounds. Do you hear every word from your friend? No. of course! But do you understand and can continue to chat with your friends? Maybe yes! This is because in Vietnamese you have the ability to determine what information is important in a sentence and only understand the information itself is able to understand the whole sentence. What you need to do is adapt it to English.

  1. Do not add vocabulary

Lack of vocabulary is one of the problems that make you unable to understand English. When poor vocabulary, no matter how hard you listen, hard work, your ability to listen to English still can not be completed in the best way. Listening to English to hear sounds, how to distinguish those sounds and vocabulary, to know the meaning of words, to identify words, to know the pronunciation must be parallel and continuous.

Often, we learn English vocabulary in a “vegetarian” way, meaning learning the meaning of words that are rarely put to use. Vocabulary is not necessarily a vegetarian, but it is necessary to go with a skill to move from passive capital to active capital, ideally using all four skills.
