Today, you do not have to live in an English speaking country to speak fluently. If you have a reasonable choice of self-study English, you do not even need to leave your home. Use the 5 tips below to develop your English practice skills in a smarter way.
Find foreign friends or those who are also self-study English
Around you can have many foreigners live. Find ways to meet English speakers in your native language by going to parks, bars, restaurants, participating in sports clubs and socializing.
Sometimes, you don’t even need the native speakers to practice English, the way to self-study English that a lot of young people nowadays apply is look for friends who have the same purpose or go to a language club and meets them regularly. You can motivate each other and you will learn how to help others.
Immerse yourself in English
You do not need to be in an English speaking country to make yourself “wrapped” in English. Find ways to create areas of English in your daily life, self-study English, write a list of what to buy, read the newspaper, listen to the radio, write a journal in English or listen to English on the smartphone while coming to work, study.
Have a realistic goal
Find a reason for learning English: find a higher position, talk to foreign colleagues, study or travel. Set short-term, long-term goals and do it exactly as you define it.
Self-study English by listening and learning new words
Practice your ears by listening to English at normal speed, even if you do not understand at all. Practice listening without looking at subtitles and do not be afraid to listen to them a few times to capture anything interesting or new words in it.
